The Brief
Total Piping & Mechanical needed a stronger visual presence across their workshop exterior, turning the building into a clear and confident extension of the TPM brand. The aim was to create signage that felt professional, industrial, and instantly recognisable while showcasing the company’s capability, quality, and technical expertise. The project needed to apply the TPM identity across large-scale surfaces, workshop windows, vehicle touchpoints, and key exterior areas without changing the existing brand. The result had to feel bold, practical, and aligned with TPM’s position as a reliable and experienced mechanical and piping business.
The Approach
My approach was to treat the workshop as a full brand environment rather than just a building with signage. I applied the TPM logo, gear mark, green and charcoal colour system, capability messaging, and industrial imagery across the exterior in a way that felt structured, balanced, and high-impact. The design focused on clear visibility from a distance, strong brand recognition, and realistic large-format application. Window areas were used to showcase technical piping imagery, while wall sections carried TPM’s core identity and capability statements. Vehicle branding was also considered as part of the wider site experience, helping create a consistent visual system across the building, yard, and mobile assets.
The Outcome
The final concept created a much stronger and more professional workshop presence for Total Piping & Mechanical. The exterior became a branded environment that communicates scale, capability, and confidence before a client even enters the building. By combining large-format signage, industrial imagery, branded vehicles, and consistent TPM visual language, the project helped transform the workshop into a high-impact brand touchpoint that feels modern, reliable, and aligned with the company’s engineering-focused identity.
